Lively Colors

Color is a physiological sensation that can stimulate human sense. Shape and form together with color can constitute a distinct and self sufficient language in themselves without the help of words. As used by the artists, this language of color is more capable of communication, subtle yet precise than is every day speech or writing. Perception of form and color is instantaneous, which makes them suitable for certain factual, informative purpose in a most effective manner. Color is a close companion of written word; even daily newspapers are printed in colors. Color amplifies communication, giving the information that black and white cannot give. Color tells and color sells. Color stimulates the reader and attracts him.

Effect of color on individuals varies according to the people, their cultural background and educational capacity. Each color has a particular message to convey; Red is bold, royal and powerful and indicates danger. Blue is associated with sky, water, hope and patience. It is a quiet color. Yellow resembles happiness, reflecting the color of gold, wealth and richness. Violet shows high rituals, royalty of church vests. Colors may be broadly classified as warm or cool, in the sense that colors which tend towards blue are cool and that tend towards red are considered warm. Fire sunshine that are warm naturally give red light. So red and its shades, yellow, orange etc. are considered warm colors in natural association.
